Weekly spreads are one of the more useful spreads to have in your bullet journal. Not only do they help you with planning and staying on track each and every week, weekly spreads are there to give you a snapshot of your weekly to dos.

I love weekly spreads because they allow for short snapshots of each day of the week. I can move from one task to the next quickly and even get ahead on work too.

How I Use Weekly Spreads

Bullet journaling is more than just having a planner available. For me I use daily logs to write down what went on that day. I treat parts of my bullet journal as an actual journal or diary.

However, when it comes to my weekly spreads those are my actual planner portion. Each week and each day I fill in things that I need to get done that day.

The way I manage my time as a work at home mom is I lower all of my expectations on how much I can actually get done in a day. There are days that I can be super productive and there are days where I get hardly anything done.

The weekly spread allows me to not only track and get my daily tasks done but also see and work ahead on days that I know I’m going to get a lot more done in the day.

Weekly Goals

I set weekly goals with to do’s throughout the week to reach those goals. So if I have a goal of deep cleaning my entire house I might schedule a room each day to get it clean.

This works for blogging goals, business goals, household goals and more. It’s a great way to always reach goals.

Furthermore, if you have a monthly goal you can break that down into smaller weekly goals with daily to do’s to reach the weekly goals. Setting goals like this makes the goals actionable for your everyday life.

Using a Weekly Planner and A Daily Journal

In conjunction with my weekly planner I also have daily journal logs. This is how I track the specifics of each day. I can record wins, memories, and general feelings on anything that happened throughout the day.

I do this not only for my own personal growth but for my future generations too. My child and his children can read my thoughts and feelings after I leave this earth. It’s a way for me to continue to pass on knowledge long after I leave.

Before we get started here is a list of my recommended supplies.
