Best Bullet Journaling Notebooks In 2021

Bullet journaling is a creative organizational system that is used as an alternative to a traditional weekly or monthly planner. Whether you are just getting started with your first bullet journal or a seasoned bullet journal, you have probably noticed that there are various different styles. When you look around on Pinterest and Instagram, you will come across many self-described minimalists using bullet journals that look like art journals. So how do you decide the best bullet journal for you? There is no one best or perfect bullet journal notebook. While a grid or dot notebook will allow you to easily customize your own page layouts, a few people prefer blank pages or even ruled ones. The best notebook for you will entirely depend upon how you plan to use your bullet journal. The following are a few factors you need to consider before opting for your best notebook for Bullet Journaling.

How To Choose The Best Bullet Journal Notebook For You

Remember, there is no best notebook for bullet journaling, you can even start by using any notebook you have lying around in your house. But don’t you think i’s great to have the best tools and materials for our passions and hobbies? I do, especially when it comes to journaling!   Since there are many amazing options available in the market, choosing the right one that fits your needs might be a bit difficult. If you are a beginner, it can be a little harder to understand what exactly you need from your bullet journaling notebooks, so don’t spend too much money to get started. My advice is to pick the one you think looks the best. You’re more likely to keep bullet journaling if you like the way your journal looks!   But don’t worry! I am here to help you out. Below are a few features or characteristics you need to think about while choosing your perfect notebook for bullet journaling.
  1. Paper Color

There are different colors of paper available in the market. Each paper color will have a different influence on how the color of your markers and brush pens will look. So do you want cream? Ivory? Or Pure white? Think about it and make the right choice.
  1. Amount Of Pages

On average, for a journal to last for a year, you might need at least 250 pages. Again it all depends on how many pages you use weekly and monthly. So think about how many pages you need each month and choose accordingly. The more the pages, the longer the journal will last, but also the heavier it can get. So choose wisely, if you want to take the journal wherever you want, it is better you choose a lighter one with fewer pages.
  1. Numbered Pages

The original bullet journal structure will have numbered pages. So, if you want to follow that structure, you might have to choose a book with numbered pages. Since not all journals offer numbered pages, think whether you need numbered ones or it’s ok to do it yourself as you go.
  1. Extra Pages

Some journals have pre-made pages like index, key, etc. These pages really help in speeding up the process. So think whether you need those pages or you want to create all those pages yourself.
  1. Paper Thickness

You definitely don’t need any ghosting or bleeding on your pages. So make sure you check the thickness of the paper before buying. I recommend 100-120 GSM as they are pretty solid, but of course the higher the thickness the better the journal. Also, if you want to make your journal artistic by using watercolors and markers, choose thicker paper as the colors bleed easily.   Since you have a clear idea of what to look for in your bullet journal notebook, let’s dive into the list.
